From the HoopsHype archive: Darko’s draft prospect profile from 2003.
Strengths: Enormous versatility… Strong on the boards…
Nice ballhandling and shooting skills… Great knowledge of the game.
Weaknesses: Still very young… May not be ready to contribute right away in the NBA.

Bethlehem Shoals, aka Nathaniel Friedman, started his own Darko-titled cooperative blog in 2006,
which, sadly, is now defunct. Shoals and his comrades write with irony, intelligence and absurdity
about the NBA. Friedman now appears in various places, as elaborated in this great review of
FreeDarko’s Macrophenomenal Basketball Almanac: “Behind Bethlehem” should have been the title
of this Seattle Weekly review/feature on Nathaniel Friedman.

as you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe.
