Losing ain’t fun. Losing hard-fought games ain’t fun. Losing hard-fought games by a few points ain’t fun. Losing hard-fought games by a few points over and over and over again ain’t fun. Our Celtics are reeling. They can’t get shots off when they need them. Paul Pierce, formerly Captain Crunchtime, now seems to be Captain Slow-Footed Slippy Fingers. There ain’t no more to say. The caravan is stuck in first gear, crawling up the mountain, on a windy, narrow dirt road. Don’t jump off now, Celtics fans. Remember 1997. A raggedy, old, inconsistent team that hovers around the .500 mark and that seems to play it’s best against better competition is preferable to any of the lottery-bound versions of Boston’s parquet-dwellers.
Miami on Sunday. It’s a long time until the All-Star break. Uncertainty surrounds the season. Time to get a much needed win.
