This three-part series of podcast episodes, “Instaserfs,” explores the 1099/gig/on-demand/exploitation economy. From Benjamen Walker’s Theory of Everything podcast, the series is based around the reported experiences of Andrew Callaway, a Bay Area freelance video producer who signed up for various jobs in the attempt at examining the underpinnings of service work that has taken over the Bay Area. It should be required listening for anyone under the age of 50, but especially for high-school seniors.
